Live vocals over her own DJ sets: a club set and a live show in one booking. From Chicago’s house clubs to fronting Lords of Acid at Coachella, DJ Méa brings both to every stage.
Read her storyBefore there was DJ Méa, there was a Chicago club kid. Mea Fisher found her way into the city’s nightlife as a go-go dancer and choreographer at clubs like Crobar, Shelter and Karma, then crossed over to the booth as a vinyl house DJ. Her signature took shape early: live vocals layered over her own mixes, turning the DJ booth into a stage.

Her mix CD Shaken, Not Stirred (After Hours, 2000) went out worldwide, followed by mix CDs on Moonshine, and she toured as the only woman on the Funky Tekno Tribe Tour. In the studio she sang for house heavyweights Miguel Migs and Ron Carroll, worked with Grammy winners Danny Lohner and Richard Vission, and recorded with Josh Ashley (Nynex), longtime partner of Hans Zimmer, and her music has landed in film and in the video game Girl Fight.
In 2011 Praga Khan brought her into Lords of Acid as lead singer. Over six years she recorded the album Deep Chills, toured with the band, and became its longest-serving vocalist after co-founder Jade 4 U. In 2012 she played Coachella with her live band. Along the way she has collaborated with Chris Vrenna, Neil McLellan, Matt Robertson, Sebastian Komor and En Esch.
Today she’s back to what has always worked: sets that move from house to acid to industrial edge, sung live, with the presence of someone who has fronted a band on festival stages.
